As you can see, Charley loves to use exclamation points as much as I do! This is her first time away at camp so we are anxious to find out how she has done. What ten year old girl doesn’t love horses—especially a little “Tom-boy” like Charley. We haven’t gotten to talk to her all week, and can’t wait for her to come home so that we can learn how she is, and if she liked camp.

p.s. In case you didn’t figure it out, Bubbles is Charley’s pet fish.

I can see that Charley has her priorities in order:) I remember those days of a child going off to camp for the first time and spending my time worrying about him/her. She sounds as if she's having a good time, but I know you'll be happy to have her back home.

P.S. Your flowers are lovely.

Rose, Sending Charley to camp was a hard decision for her mother to make--Libby didn't go to camp for the first time until she was almost 12. But Charley is wild about horses, and REALLY wanted to go.

P.S. Thanks! ;-)

LOL, what a great letter. Kids are always excited about something. Wish my life was full of exclamation points!!!

Who's Special K?
Marnie

Marnie,

Special K AKA Frisky, is Charley's cat that was bitten by the rattlesnake last fall. We called him Special K because he survived, and also because he walks at a tilt now--permanent balance issues he has as a result of his brush with death.

Jenny

P.S. Sometimes I wish my life weren't so filled with exclamation points!

I love how she says up front he needs feeding every day and then reiterates he needs food today. :)

Monica, when you are dealing with grammies, you can never be too clear...they can be rather dense at times. ;-)

I love it! What a sweet note. While my kids were off visiting relatives last week and working at their jobs (the teen), I found myself doing all the animal chores. We have a lot of animals I think.~~Dee

Hi Sue, I'm glad you liked her note. She is home now, and had a marvelous time--she is in love with her horse, Oreo, and wanted to bring him home. That is all she can talk about.

Glad you like my late summer flowers--it is so hot here, that is about all the is in bloom.

Dee, we have lots of animals too--all living inside with us! We do have 2 outdoor cats that I put my foot down and said no more inside! We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and the fish. I guess it's not that much, it just seems crowded when you add in all the adults and kids. Wonder if I could put a couple of kids on Craig's List? :-)
