Hey Monica! When you are 2 1/2, it isn't really about taste. It's about feel, and seeing how much flour you can get on the flour, in your hair, ears, nose, and clothes! Finger painting is not just with paints! It's all about experiencing different mediums. ;-)

Funny how I used to get upset when my kids made big messes, but the grandkids--well, they can do anything, and it just makes me laugh:)

Rose, I think as grandparents we have learned how fleeting this time of their lives is. Instead of looking at it as a mess, we see it as experimentation.
