I am not a very good photographer, but can you make out the bumble bee in the Cinderella pumpkin blossom?
The hydrangea the kids got me for Mother's Day last year is doing well. The three that I bought seven years ago from a nursery, are toast.
A journal of a gardener in Round Rock, Texas learning how to deal with clay and limestone "soil" and the heat! Whew! But also the joy that comes from getting out in the garden and enjoying nature and family.

So what are you doing that's different with this hydrangea? I have one that's struggling in this heat and I don't know if it's the location, not enough water, or what. Any suggestions?
Hi blueccbug! Thanks for stopping by. I have this hydrangea on the northside of the house where it gets short periods of dappled sunlight. Also, I planted it with lots of peat and mulched heavily. I water it A LOT!
