Pictures From Home

Celebrating Christmas

Santa came!

mysterious packages wrapped in quilt-like patterns

gingerbread houses constructed, and eaten bit by bit...

treasures to be opened and tried out...

Oh, you better not pout, Santa Claus is coming to town. In case you can't read Loudon's shirt, it says: What Santa doesn't bring me, Grandma will.

This years recipient of the dreaded Christmas Chipmunk!

The job of unwrapping begins in earnest

It fits, and keeps my ears warm!

Keeping everyone on track is Bo's hardest job

which to open next?

Holidays can be so exhausting--the trick is to know when to stop for a rest, and whose lap to curl up on...

What a winderful Christmas you had! I love all the pictures. The quilt like wrapping is so interesting-g great idea. My wrapping skills are those of a 10 yr old!

The 'Santa' shirt is so true isn't it? Bo lools like he is on top of everything even his nap taking. Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us.

Marnie, I forgot the food! I didn't get any pictures of the Christmas table, but I guess I was so busy cooking I didn't think to take pictures.

Monica, Santa must either be a quilter, or was very thrifty at using all the odds and ends on my present.

Beckie, I am so glad you liked the pictures of our Christmas. It's such a special time--especially for the little ones. Bo is always on top of things around "his" house!

Cheryl, I hope you had a lovely Christmas too. The girls have done gingerbread houses every year. Now that they are 8 and 11, they are getting to be quite good at it!

Wendy, I hope your Christmas was wonderful too. Yes, I must admit it's true--I will get the little munchkin just about anything.

I enjoyed spending Christmas with you, MG! Looks like everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and I am glad your mother was able to make it through all the bad weather. Loudon's shirt is so true:) I hope Santa brought something for Bo as well.

Hi Rose! I hope your Christmas was good too! I cherish the times Mom is able to come down this way...I know there will be a time when she can no longer travel--and I am so grateful she made it through the nasty weather and airport delays. I think she handled it better than I did! LOL!

Smart dog.

And someone has grandma figured!

Your holiday looked wonderful.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you too, Liz. Yes, I like to think Bo is very smart. He is not allowed on the furniture, but he seems to think Grandma will protect him--and it worked!

Thanks for sharing your Christmas photos. The quilt block wrapping paper is awesome, I'll have to remember it; I hate to throw away small bits of beautiful paper, so that's a great way to make the most of it.
Thanks for your card, words of comfort, and most of all, your prayers during the last few weeks.

Dear Nola, It is so easy to say I know what you are going through--but I don't--I only have my memories and experiences to go by--and the knowledge of your love and incredible stories of your family. I wish I could be there to give you a hug and sit and chat while we share a cup of tea or coffee together. I know you have many friends to comfort you during these hard and stressful times.

On a lighter note: yes the "quilt" wrapping job my hubby did was quite unique. He usually wraps his presents in the Sunday comics, but this year tried something different.

Take care, Nola!

Hugs filled with love,
Jenny
